Visiting Amsterdam by bike is one of the funniest ways to explore the city!
In no other city in the world do its inhabitants cycle so much as in Amsterdam. A bicycle is by far the best means of transport to explore Amsterdam. The city is relatively small and well-equipped for cyclists. Did you know there are more bicycles in the Netherlands than inhabitants?
If you would like to explore Amsterdam by bike, you can rent your own bike at our campsite for a small fee. It only takes half an hour by bike to reach the centre, but if you think this takes too long, you can also take your bike onto the metro or pick up a bike at one of the four Macbike points in the centre.
Day tickets for public transport — the cheapest way to explore Amsterdam.
A public transport day ticket is the most practical and affordable way to travel. It allows you to make unlimited use of all metro, (night) bus and tram lines wherever you are in Amsterdam. Day tickets are for sale at our reception desk.
Days | Price |
---|---|
1 day (24 hours) | € 8,50 |
2 days (48 hours) | € 14,50 |
3 days (72 hours) | € 20,- |
4 days (96 hours) | € 25,50 |
Avoid queues for museums and buy your tickets in advance at our campsite!
If you don’t feel like queueing up for museums, Madame Tussauds, canal tour boats and other attractions, we recommend buying your tickets at our reception desk before setting off. What’s more, we offer a considerable discount on some tickets!
The I Amsterdam City Card — access to museums and public transport. If you intend to visit a lot of museums, consider buying the I Amsterdam City Card. This card also offers free transport bus, tram and metro. In addition, this card allows you to go on canal boat tour, which is a unique way to explore Amsterdam from the water.
